Pig Pal is licensed, not sold, under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which applies to this app in full. The notes below describe how Pig Pal works in practice; where they and the agreement differ, the agreement governs.
What Pig Pal is
Pig Pal is a record-keeping app for families. It tracks chores, allowance, goals and the balances a parent chooses to attribute to a child.
It is not a bank and it does not hold, move or transfer money. There is no account, no card, no payment rail. A balance in Pig Pal is a note of what a parent has decided they owe a child, kept between them. Actual money changes hands in the real world, or it doesn't.
Subscriptions
Pig Pal is free to use with limits. Pig Pal Plus is an auto-renewing subscription sold monthly or yearly through the App Store. It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before it ends.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions on your device — not here, as we have no way to see or change it. Any free trial period is forfeited if you buy a subscription before it ends.
Your family's data
You own what you put into Pig Pal. It is stored on your devices and, if you switch on sync, in your own iCloud. We cannot read it, export it or restore it for you — see the privacy policy. Pig Pal keeps daily backups on each device, and you can export a copy at any time from Family ▸ Settings ▸ Data & privacy. Keeping a copy of anything you'd hate to lose is your responsibility.
Sharing with other people
Inviting someone to your family gives them full access to it: every child's name, photo, balance and history, and the ability to change any of it. Only invite people you would hand your unlocked phone to.
No warranty
Pig Pal is provided as it is. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for money paid or not paid between members of your family on the strength of what the app says. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.
